Culture Shock

It's difficult for foreign students when they started studying outside. Because the weather in Canada is very cold in the winter's months, international students who use to live in warm places feel that weather is cold, and they usually get a culture shock. Some students find that food is not familiar to them, That leads students to find fast food. Also, they are looking for familiar brands restaurants. It is not easy to speak and listen foreign language. Even if the students speak English very well, they must get the regional accents feeling them embarrassed. Also, if student come from hot weather places and is used to wearing light dresses when they arrive to Canada espicially in the winter, they will see the differences then they will get culture shock. Social behaviours are not easy to feel it as the students from their countries. Because every country has a different culture, some behaviours could be rude but in another places are not. Some students worries to make friends and how to be kindy with them. During the time the student become more familiar to that life.

Riyadh & Vancouver

It's a good experience in my life to study in Vancouver which every things are more than beautiful. When I compare and contrast between Vancouver and Riyadh which is the capital city of Saudi Arabia, there are many differences between these two cities. First, the transportation in Riyadh is only buses in selected roads, and the population number reaches five million people. most of Riyadh population use thier own cars or taxis. Now, The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh is going to built the Riyadh Metro network to help the traffic. But in Vancouver, there are many ways to move. such as buses with very good systems, Sky train, Sea bus, and ferry as well. So, I do not need a car if I am going to live a long term in Vancouver. Next, I would like to discuss the weather here and there. riyadh's weather is very hot in summer, sunny, and it's hard to walk in the noon. the winter is very cold, dry,and heavy rain. Moreover, I've never seen snow in my hometown as Vancouver. Sence i came to Vancouver, perhaps I feel the four season in one day.
